Karşı Sanat participates in the second edition of SENKRON between 15 – 30 April 2022 with Oleksiy Koval’s digital painting called Scala.
(Saint Catherine’s Monastery, Sinai Peninsula, Egypt)
The icon Ladder of Divine Ascent (Κλίμαξ; Scala or Climax Paradisi) from the 12th century (St. Catherine’s Monastery, Sinai Peninsula, Egypt) and Steps from the list of Kyiv Metropolitan Cyprian, inspired me to write down the composition Scala. With 30 entries, the composition expresses the movement from the bottom left to the top right on the surface. The applying of colors starts with the smallest unit and ends with the largest. The video recording directly documents the process of painting.
This composition has been written using THE BEAUTIFUL FORMULA LANGUAGE
THE BEAUTIFUL FORMULA LANGUAGE allows to create new compositions and to notate already existing paintings.
